Purpose:

This section explains how to set up promotions and discounts, including member-only promotions, coupon codes, and advance payment promotions.
 Estimated time: ~15minutes

1. Where to Set

  1. Setting Page: Brand Management Screen 
  2. Action: 'Promotion' → [+New Promotion]
 
Step 1
・After clicking [+New Promotion], an alert will be displayed.
・New promotions can be added only when Agree is selected.
・If Do Not Agree is selected, the screen returns to the promotion list page.
Step 2
This alert appears every two weeks to confirm agreement with the [Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations].
Step 3
Select the Promotion Type to be created.
There are 5 types of promotions.
*Once saved, the promotion type cannot be changed.


2. Promotion 
(Required)

After click [Agree] on the alert display, "New Promotion" screen will appear. 

1. Promotion Activation Toggle
This toggle is used to activate or deactivate a promotion.
・The toggle is enabled by default.
2. Promotion Name・ Enter the promotion name
・The promotion name will be
 displayed above a price.
*
Multiple promotions with the same name cannot be created.

3. Promotion type (Required)

3.1 Standard promotion

  1. Select this option to apply a discount directly to the plan price.
  2. Member discount are created using Standard Promotion.
  3. Only one Standard Promotion (the lowest price) can be applied at once.
  4. Can be used together with a "Coupon Code".

3.1.1 Promotion Rate

1. For room charge plans

・Discount amount is calculated based on number of room
・Exact discount amount can be input on field beside
 [¥] 
・Percentage of discount amount can be set on field beside
 [%]

2. For head count charge plans・Discount amount is calculated based on number of guests.
・Set the discount amount based on the tier.
WarningA promotion can be set to 100% OFF (free).
When set to 100% OFF, reservations cannot be made with advance payment.


3.2  Prepaid Discount

Info
  1. Multiple advance-payment discounts can be created within the same brand.
  2. Different promotions can be set for different property under the brand.
  3. If multiple advance-payment discounts apply to the same plan, only the highest discount is applied.
  4. As with standard promotions, a warning appears when multiple promotions are set for the same plan.

3.2.1 Target payment type

The payment type is set to Online Pre-payment by default and cannot be change or deactivate

3.2.2 Promotion rate

1. Rate type"Per Night Per Room" is set by default. 
2. Discount type
・Set discount price to be applied when user make reservation.
Discounts can be set as a fixed amount (¥) or a percentage (%).

*For percentage(%) discounts, Maximum discount per room per night can be enabled to set an upper limit.


3.3 Rounding discount

InfoWhen creating a promotion, it is possible to set the system to round down fractional amounts in the price.

3.3.1 Promotion rate

・Specify how much to round down per room per night.
・For multi-room bookings, rounding is applied per room per night.
・If multiple rounding discounts exist, the highest discount rate will be applied.
▼Example:
When rounding down amounts under ¥50 per room, a rate of ¥14,077 becomes ¥14,050.

3.4 Coupon code

Info
  1. This promotion type where users can get discount by applying Coupon code.
  2. Random coupon code can be generate by clicking [Generate random code] .
  3. Only one coupon code can be applied per booking.
  4. "Coupon code" can be combined with "Standard Promotion" and "Prepaid Discount".

3.4.1 Coupon Application

1. Manually type in coupon codeCoupon application can be done by entering the “Coupon Code” on the “Guest Information Input” screen.

2. Apply coupon by defaultThe coupon is applied automatically, and the discounted price is displayed immediately on search result. 

3.4.2 Promotion rate (for coupon code)

1. Promotion RateSpecify a fixed amount (¥) or a percentage (%) to applied. 
2. Max discount spending limitFor coupon codes, a budget limit can be set to automatically stop usage once the specified amount is exceeded.

3.4.3 Usage limit per customer

  1. Set limit coupon usage per customer.
  2. For registered users → usage is tracked by account.
  3. For non-registered users → usage is tracked by email address.
1. UnlimitedIf this option is selected there will no limit usage for the coupon
2. Enter a limit・If this option is selected, specify the usage limit.
・Once the set number of uses is reached, the coupon can’t be used again by that customer.

3.4.3 How to calculate the cancellation fee

Calculate the cancellation fee based on the regular price (before applying any promotions) or the price after the discount is applied.
1. Calculate the cancellation fee after applying the promotion
The cancellation fee is calculated based on the discounted price.
2. Calculate the cancellation fee before applying the promotion
The cancellation fee is calculated based on the original price.

4. Promotions conditions

Set the target users or membership programs eligible for the promotion, as well as the applicable period.
*All fields are optional.
1. Target Users
・Select the target for the promotion from the pull-down menu.
・Choosing 
“All Users” applies the promotion to non-members as well.
・Other displayed options are 
active membership programs.
When a membership program is chosen, the "Member Rank Condition” appears, allowing rank selection.
2. Valid through・This is the booking period during which the promotion can be applied.
3. Target staying period・This is the stay period eligible for the promotion.
・The promotion is applied only when both the
 check-in and check-out dates fall within this period.
4. Exclude during・This is the period during which the promotion does not apply.

5. Tax inclusion (Required) 

  1. The promotion discount rate is applied Tax Included by default.
  2. Tax Exclude option can't be selected for new promotions and for existing promotions after switching to Tax included.


6. Target plan (Required)

Select the eligible plan from the drop down to which the promotion will apply.
1. All PlansThe promotion can be applied to all plans, including those already created and those to be created in the future.

2. Select Plans
A list of plans will be displayed, allowing the promotion to be applied only to specific plans.

*Up to 30 items are displayed per page.

3. Select Plans to exclude The promotion will be applied to all plans except the ones selected.
