Reservation Security Settings
Purpose:
This section is explaining how to configure the Reservation Security settings.
⏱ Estimated time: ~5mins
1. Where to set
- Setting Page: Brand Management Screen
- Action: 'Settings' → 'Booking Engine' → [Reservation Security]
- By default, the setting is turned ON, and the bypass token included in each request is always verified when a reservation is accessed, updated, or canceled.
- When the setting is turned OFF, reservations can be accessed using only the customer’s email address and reservation number, without bypass token verification.
- When a custom UI is used and the setting is turned off, a bypass token is not required when calling the show, receipt, update, guests, or cancel APIs.
Note:
Regardless of whether the “Reservation Security” setting is enabled or disabled, reservation confirmation emails always include a link with a bypass token.
