Subdomain Setup (With SSL Server Certificate File)
Purpose:
This section is to explain Subdomain setup for properties that already have an SSL server certificate file.
⏱ Estimated time: ~15mins
Depending on the DNS update frequency and TTL (priority) settings of the property’s DNS provider, it may take from the same day up to approximately 10 days for search results to be redirected to the subdomain.
For specific timelines, please contact the DNS provider in advance.

Please obtain and upload the SSL Server Certificate file that matches the subdomain domain.
| Example | Acquired subdomain |
| Official website domain (custom domain) | www.tripla-ryokan.com |
| Acquired subdomain |
booking.tripla-ryokan.com |
| Domain of the SSL Server Certificate file to be obtained and uploaded | booking.tripla-ryokan.com |
- The "SSL Certificate Body", "SSL Certificate Private Key", and "SSL Certificate Chain (Intermediate Certificate)" must be uploaded in PEM format.
- The SSL Server Certificate supports a maximum key length of 2048 bits.
- Ensure that the SSL Server Certificate has sufficient validity remaining before uploading the certificate files and completing the subdomain setup in the tripla admin screen.
If the SSL Server Certificate expires, the subdomain booking widget will not be accessible, and reservations from the official website will no longer be available. - When subdomain settings are configured using “I have a SSL Certificate,” the person managing the property’s official website is responsible for renewing the SSL Server Certificate. For automatic renewal methods, please contact the certificate issuer.
- When renewing the SSL certificate, upload the new SSL certificate files again.
*Reconfiguration of the CNAME record is not required. - The same URL cannot be used for both “Register Subdomain URL” and “First-Party Cookie URL Registration.”
- When switching to the iframe subdomain version, it is recommended to configure First-Party Cookie settings first, and then proceed with Subdomain Settings. If Subdomain Settings are completed before First-Party Cookie settings, pop-up blocking may occur.

Meta tags(Meta elements) are used to define information about a document (page).
- When configured here, they are written within the HTML elements of the subdomain-based booking widget and serve to provide website information to search engines.
- The content defined in meta tags is not displayed on the website itself.
- However, information specified in meta elements such as title and description may appear in search engine results or when the page is shared on social media.

5.1 Title
- When converting the booking widget to a subdomain, page title settings are required to maintain the brand concept displayed in the browser.
Enter the desired page title for each page type, such as:
Accommodation Plan List, Guest Information Entry, Payment Information Entry, and Reservation Completion.
- The variables {{facility_name}} and {{brand_name}} can be used in the title fields. These variables automatically display the facility name and brand name.
- If necessary, page titles can also be set for languages other than Japanese.
Since the booking widget language switches based on the user’s browser language, configuring multilingual page titles is recommended.
6. Favicon
- A favicon is an image file used as a website symbol (icon).
- Once configured, it appears next to the website title in the browser tab.
