Purpose:
This section explains the items that must be completed in advance when implementing tripla Connect.
*These tasks are primarily handled by the domain administrator.
*To ensure accurate data collection and analysis, please be sure to complete all required settings.
1. Enable Cookie Consent
Display a cookie consent notice on the website.
tripla Connect performs user targeting based on cookie data.
Therefore, it is mandatory to inform users that cookies are used on the site.
▼Manual:
2. First-Party Cookie Settings
First-party cookies are cookies issued directly from the domain of the website visited by the user.
In tripla Connect, cookie data is used for user targeting when creating segments, so this setting is required.
▼Manual:
When switching to the iframe subdomain version, it is recommended to configure first-party cookies first and then proceed with subdomain settings.
If the subdomain is configured before first-party cookie settings are completed, pop-up blocking may occur.
3. Subdomain Settings
After configuring first-party cookies, converting the booking widget to a subdomain enables the use of the iframe booking widget (iframe version of tripla Book).
By using the iframe version of tripla Book, the measurements required for Google Analytics and tripla Connect targeting can be maintained.
▼Manual:
4. URL Changes
After configuring the subdomain, any URLs that include parameters must be updated to use the subdomain-based parameters.
▼Manual:
All URLs included in website links, printed materials, and other media must be replaced.
By using the iframe version of tripla Book, the booking widget can still be launched with the existing URL while utilizing first-party cookies and subdomain settings.

5. Additional Notes
The email newsletter and SNS delivery features of Connect can be used even if items 1–3 below are not configured.
However, the following disadvantages apply if these settings are not completed.
■Disadvantages if cookie settings in 1 and 2 are not configured
Data collection and analysis will be affected.
1) Without configuring items 1–3, website browsing data cannot be collected, and some segments, such as website visit counts, cannot be used.
2) Data such as accommodation reservations originating from email newsletters cannot be measured in the Connect dashboard.
■Disadvantages if subdomain settings in item 3 are not configured
1) User traffic data accessing the booking widget may not be sufficiently tracked in Google Analytics.
2) The booking widget may be more affected by website loading speed and may feel slower.
3) For users who have pop-ups blocked in their browser settings, the standard booking widget (iframe) cannot be launched unless pop-up blocking is disabled.
